Grace grew up in Stamford, TX. After graduating from Spur High School, she and Ernest married and began a family. They raised four children together. Once her children were all old enough to start school, she traded her role as a stay-at-home mother to manager of the school cafeteria system. She loved her faith and the church. Grace was a wonderful cook, seamstress and crafter winning her countless blue ribbons at many fair and craft shows. Math was no challenge. Many of her skills were passed on to her children. She was a Girl Scout Assistant Leader helping girls with achieving their badges and camping skills. She enjoyed her gardening and vacations trout fishing with her husband.
Grace and Ernest moved from Lubbock, TX to Sulphur, OK in 1975. They quickly became members of the local Church of Christ and devoted many years of service to the church. She also loved and volunteered at the Sulphur Veteran's Center for many years where she was blessed to assist in many ways.
Survivors include her three daughters, Deborah Kulash & husband Donald of Edwardsville, IL, Karen Kay Clute of Tulsa, and Alysia Steelman & husband Thomas of Wichita, KS; son, Wayne Ernest Fare of Moore; three grandchildren, Jenna Bradley & husband Joe, DeVon Ellis & husband Reed, and Tara Kwack & husband JJ; two great-grandchildren, Jax Bradley and Emmalie Ellis.
