James Clark Moore

James Clark Moore was born on January 2nd, 1952, in Chickasha, to the late Wendell Irving & Mary Louise (Adams) Moore. He passed from this life on Tuesday, August 28, 2026, in Oklahoma City, at the age of seventy-four. At the age of sixteen, James married the former Ms. Judy Walker on November 27, 1968, in Chickasha. Together, they shared fifty-seven wonderful years of marriage.

During the early years of his married life, James worked several jobs, including driving a Taxi in Oklahoma City and later an eighteen-wheeler. He finally settled in the car business and became the owner of his own dealership in Sulphur in 1986. Although he retired from car sales a few years prior to his death, James still loved tinkering with the cars and going to car auctions. One of his greatest joys was picking his children up from school in some random vehicle he had just purchased like a school bus or even a stretched limousine.

When James was not working with cars, he loved spending time with his family watching football, especially the OU Sooners, riding around the lake on his boat, fishing, if he was catching anything, and going camping. He also enjoyed traveling out west to explore old ghost towns then making his way to Las Vegas for a few days.

James was known for sharing stories about all his crazy adventures in life, which everyone loved hearing about. He was an amazing man and will be missed by so many people. This world will be a little less bright without him here.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Judy; two daughters, Tina Stack & husband Robert and Meredith Carter & husband Kevin; two sons, James Moore, II and Wendell Moore & wife Trish; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; as well as one sister, Kathy Potts and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his grandmother, Donna Mae Williams who raised him; one sister, Donna Kennedy; and one brother, Dwayne Moore.

Graveside funeral services will held at 10:00 AM, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Green Hill Cemetery, in Davis. Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr will officiate the service.

Services are entrusted to HALE'S FUNERAL HOME, of Davis.
