Jessie Leeann West

Jessie Leeann West was born December 31, 1981, in Stockton, CA, to Melvin James West, Jr. and Vanessa Louise (Payne) Marsh. She died Friday, November 28, 2025, from injuries received in an automobile accident west of Davis. Jessie was 43 years, 10 months, and 28 days old.

Jessie and her family moved from California to Davis in 1991. She attended school at both Davis and Sulphur. In 2006, she moved to Arkansas, returning to Davis in 2013.

Jessie lived life with a free spirit, never letting anything dim her glow. Her loving spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. She was the one friend that you could always count on, no matter what the need was. Jessie was blessed with a beautiful soul and the brightest smile.

Jessie loved being outdoors, soaking up every ray of sunshine she could. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, back roading, reading, working out at the gym, and listening to music, especially Kid Rock.

Family members left to cherish her memory include her four children, Reagan Lindsey of Mill Creek, Gavin West of Milburn, Lucky Booth of Lindsey, and Tristan Osborne of Arkansas; two grandchildren, Colson and Josie; her mother, Vanessa Marsh of Davis; step-mother, DeeAnna West of Sulphur; five sisters, Raysha Stanford, Candy West, Katie West, Grace West, and Hollie Hope West; brother, James West; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jessie was preceded in death by her father, Melvin James West, Jr.; stepfather, Steve Marsh; and brother, Waylan West.

Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the First Christian Church in Sulphur.

Services are entrusted to Hale's Funeral Home, of Sulphur.
