Johnnie Allen Satterfield, III

Johnnie Allen Satterfield, III, was born July 23, 1978, in Junction City, KS, to Johnnie Allen & Julie Lynn (Davis) Satterfield, Jr. He died on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Purcell, OK, at the age of 46 years, 9 months and 27 days.

Johnnie grew up in the Joy/Wynnewood area. After graduating from Wynnewood High School, Class of 1997, he continued his education at OSU Tech, studying Graphic Design. After college, Johnnie spent several years working in the oil field industry, employed with several companies including Goober Drilling and H2S Safety Plus.

Johnnie enjoyed being outdoors. He spent most of his free time fishing, noodling, gardening, and working on vehicles. He was known to be very sociable, and one who never met a stranger. Johnnie cherished spending time entertaining his family and friends, and hosting barbeques.

Survivors include his wife Shelly Knight Satterfield of Ada; sons, Johnnie “Big J” Satterfield, IV and Augustine Pritchard of Stratford; stepsons, Cody, Trevor and Ryan Knight; his parents, Johnnie & Julie Satterfield, Jr of Stratford; maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Davis; brother, Al Satterfield & wife Amanda of Pauls Valley; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Johnnie Satterfield, Sr; paternal grandmother, Francis Oliver & husband Ollie; as well as his maternal grandfather, Adelbert Davis.

A memorial mass will be held 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sulphur.
