Karen M. “Kay” Keen
Graveside funeral services for Karen M. “Kay” Keen, 67, will be held 2:00PM, Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur, with Chaplain James Redeker officiating.
Karen was born May 19, 1949 in Oklahoma City to the late James Alan & Virginia Ruth (Girod) McDonough. She passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Sulphur, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Karen is now at rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Kay spent the past three years working as an adult English teacher in Thailand.
She attended US Grant High School, graduating in 1967. She then furthered her education at East Central University in Ada. Prior to her time in Thailand, Karen spent many years working as a preschool teacher for the Chickasaw Nation Headstart. She was an active member of the Crossway First Baptist Church in Sulphur.
Survivors include her sister, Linda Loveless & husband Wyman of Rockwall, TX; brother, Bob McDonough & wife Connie of Sulphur; aunt, Sue Lane of Oklahoma City; four nieces, two nephews; as well as, several other family members.
