Kenny Joe Peery, Sr.

Kenny Jo Peery, Sr., 63, of Dewey, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on September 27, 2026. He was born January 1, 1963, in Grants, New Mexico, to the late Jacky Don "Jack" and Sandra Jo (Rose) Peery.

Kenny worked as a paramedic and later as a real estate agent. He was a 1981 graduate of Davis High School and continued his education at Oklahoma State University. Kenny enjoyed building things and working with his hands.

He loved motorcycle rides and tours, fishing, hunting, and spending time with friends. Movies were a passion, and he enjoyed reminiscing about his high school days and sharing memories.

Kenny and Thelma Peery were married from 1986 to 2024. During their years together, they raised Misty Dawn Peery and Kenny Jo Peery II.

He is survived by his children, Misty Dawn Peery and Kenny Jo Peery II; his grandchildren, Blain Mercer, Kiera Pahsetopah, Christopher Pahsetopah, and Kymbrance Pahsetopah; his great-grandchildren, Nova Pahsetopah and Malahney Jean King-Hogan; his sister, Kim Mae Peery; and uncles Bobby Peery, Dwayne Peery, and Lynn Peery. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Jo Peery; one brother, Keith Peery; and his aunt, Carolyn Bridgman.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM, on Wednesday, October 7th, 2026, at the Oaklawn Cemetery, in Wynnewood, OK. Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr will officiate the service.

His memory will live on in the stories shared by those who knew him and in the lives of the family he leaves behind.
