Lee Wayne “Brother” Mann was born May 25, 1974 in Norman, OK to Jerry Don and Jolene (Sumpter) Mann. He died Wednesday, April 29, 2020 in Durant, at the age of 45 years, 11 months and 4 days.
Lee grew up in Sulphur, graduating from Sulphur High School in 1992. Following high school, he enlisted in the United State Navy, serving during Desert Storm. He was currently employed with the Choctaw Nation, working as a Network Operations Manager. Lee was very much a fan of sprint cars. Sprint car racing was a sport, enjoyed by his entire family. He and his brother “Opie”, with their dad as their crew chief, built and raced several cars, for many years. Lee was also an avid fan of motorcycles. In his spare time, he enjoyed listening to music, playing video games and doing auto painting.
Survivors include his two sons, Preston Hunter Mann and Zakkary Ryan Mann; his mother, Jolene Mann, all of Sulphur; his sister, Barbara Hatton & husband Brian of Wagoner; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Mann on April 25, 2019 and his brother, Don “Opie” Mann on April 9 2018
A memorial service, remembering the life of Lee “Brother” Mann, will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, June 12, 2020, at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Sulphur with Pastor Dick Terry officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Mark McDonough, Jeremy Shannon, Joe Wright, William Bernkopf, Eric Szalaj, Sharno Floyd, Andy Pannell, Keven Prather and Eddie Wiggins.
