Lora Belle Williams

Funeral services for Lora Belle Williams will be held at 10:00AM, on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, in Davis. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery, in Davis.

Lora was born March 29, 1931, in Hennepin, to the late William Jackson and Lillie Lois (Redmond) Hudson. She was called to her eternal home in Heaven, on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Norman, at the age of 94. Being born into a large family, Lora was given the responsibility of caring for her younger siblings, to allow her mother to pick cotton. After she left her childhood home in Hennepin, Lora moved to Wynnewood where she became an in-home nanny.

On July 2, 1949, Lora married Arles Owen Williams, in Gainesville, TX, and together they shared 50 years of happiness before the Lord called him home on July 30, 1999. Their 50 years included many camping trips with their children, grandchildren, and friends. After the kids were grown, Lora and Arles took many bus tours across the United States seeing and visiting many beautiful sites. As the family grew grandchild by grandchild, Lora loved nothing more than spending time with them, spoiling them as often as she could. If asked, Lora's children and grandchildren would say she was the best cook in the world, especially when it came to making desserts.

After completing beauty college, Lora owned and operated a very successful beauty shop for many years. She formed many friendships throughout her career and grew to love her ladies.

Lora had a passion for gardening, which was a shared hobby she and Arles enjoyed together for many years. Even after his passing, she continued to grow large vegetable gardens and raised beautiful flowers that surrounded her home. When her brother Gene retired, he started helping her with the gardens. They loved each other very much and were rather competitive on who could grow things the best.

Once her sister Patty retired, they spent many hours together going to garage sales and attending church. They were faithful, attending Sunday morning, Sunday nights and Wednesday night services together. For many years, Lora was highly active at the First Baptist Church of Davis, where she helped with summer Bible Schools and the children's activities. Lora found great peace in her favorite Bible verse, John 14-6: Jesus said unto them, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the father, but by me."

Those left to cherish the memory of Lora include her two daughters, Sharon Fine and Jo Ann Bahner, both of Davis; her son, Eddie Williams of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Michelle Fine Pasierb & husband Frank, Lorie Goree, Eddie Williams, Jr & wife Danika, Donna Brown, Paula Ortego & husband Mateo, and J.R. Brown; 12 great-grandchildren, Joey & Sam Pasierb, Lacie Goree, Brady, Riley & Demi Williams, Coleby & Macie Burnett, Coy & Arley Williams, and Trey & Cleveland Brown; five great-great grandchildren, J.R. & Hunter Pasierb and Indie, Rhylin & Rhyder Burnett; three sisters, Joyce Hudson, Betty Hudson and Ruth Edgar; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lora was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Isabel Samson; son in law, Russell Fine; and 11 siblings, Carl Hudson, Gene Hudson, Jesse Hudson, Williams Hudson, Essie Ball, Jack Hudson, Buster Hudson, J.D. Hudson, John Hudson, Patty Qualls, and Floyd Hudson.
