Marita Faye (Jones) Carver was born on December 7, 1956, in Wynnewood, to Royce Dail & Juanita (Sise) Jones. Following a lengthy battle with kidney disease, she went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 12, 2025, in Davis, at the age of 68. Marita and Robert “Rick” Carver were united in marriage on July 12, 1980. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2013. For many years, she and Rick made their home in the Washington/Purcell area, where they raised their son Colten.
Marita grew up in Davis. After graduating from Davis High School, Class of 1975, she attended East Central University, earning a bachelor’s degree. She later attended Rose State College, becoming a certified Lab Technician. In 2015, she returned to Davis to be closer to her beloved parents and brother.
Marita was always on the go, busy doing something. For many years, she, Rick, and Colten enjoyed traveling and going to horseraces. They greatly enjoyed spending time in Colorado and New Mexico fishing and shopping. Marita was always ready for a shopping trip whether planned or spur of the moment, especially when it included her nieces. She will be remembered for her impeccable taste and her eye for a bargain.
