Martha Gail Griffin

Martha Gail Griffin was born August 23, 1952, in Coweta, OK, to the late Agel & Lillian (Orcutt) Watkins. She died on Sunday, July 27, 2025, in Sulphur, at the age of 72.

Gail grew up in the Fort Worth area. After marrying, she and her family made their home in Slidell, TX for many years. Throughout her working years, she worked as a waitress, as well as did upholstery work, in addition to being a devoted mother.

Gail was an incredibly talented artist. She did paintings, sculpturing and handmade decorative lamps. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and spending time with her beloved family. Gail moved to Sulphur in 2020, to be closer to her family.

Survivors include her husband, Bert L. Griffin; three daughters, Linda Gail Carter & husband William, Billie Dawn Wolfe & husband Terry, both of Sulphur, and Ashlie Agel Mystrom & husband Jerry of McAlester; one son, Bert Everett Griffin of Huntsville, TX; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Truesdale of Chico, TX and Thelma Urlage of Decatur, TX; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Watkins.

A private family service will be held in the near future.

Cremation was "Entrusted To" HALE'S Funeral Home of Sulphur, OK.
