Michael Dewayne "Mike" Easley was born January 28, 1962, in Cushing, OK, to Everett Lee & Joann (Stowers) Easley. He died on Friday, August 15, 2025, in Houston, at the age of 63.
Mike grew up in Woodward, OK. After graduating from Woodward High School, he attended welding school and later diesel mechanic school. He spent his working career in the diesel mechanics field, spending the last fourteen years with Rush Peterbilt in Houston. Prior to a three-year battle with cancer, he held the position of Shop Foreman with Rush.
In addition to being a top-rated diesel mechanic, Mike was a very talented carpenter, specializing in cabinetry. Although woodwork was more of a hobby for him, his work was superb. In his spare time, Mike enjoyed fishing and playing golf every chance he found.
Survivors include his wife, Qiumei Li "Cici"; one son, Dewayne Michael Easley & wife McKinzi of Norman; his granddaughter, Parker; mother, Joann Irwin of Sulphur; and one brother, Timothy Easley.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Everett Easley; one brother, Darren Easley; and one sister, Sandy Breeden.
Viewing will be held from 10:30AM until 12:30PM, Tuesday morning, August 26, 2025, at Hale's Funeral Home in Davis. A graveside service will follow that afternoon at 2:00 PM, in the Lewis Family Cemetery, east of Wynnewood. Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr will officiate the service.
Services are "entrusted to" Hale's Funeral Home of Davis.
