Moninya and Bret Lynn Mulder were united in marriage on June 20, 1978, in Noble, OK. To this union two sons were born, Lucas and Levi.

Moninya grew up in the Noble area, graduating from Noble High School, Class of 1976. After she and Bret married and started their family, Moninya was a stay-at-home mom, caring for her sons. This was an art that Moninya greatly enjoyed.
