Norma Jean Jones

Funeral services for Norma Jean (Grover) Jones will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Davis, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.

Norma was born March 7, 1942, in Ringling, OK, to the late Albert L. and Ruby (Perry) Grover. She passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, in Davis, at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 3 days. Norma and Donald Ray “Don” Jones were married on June 25, 1962, in Sulphur. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2011.

Norma grew up in the Oscar/Ryan areas, near Ringling. She devoted her life to serving God and caring for her family. Norma had a soft spot in her heart when it came children. For many years, she assisted at a local day care, prior to operating her own day care, within her home, for 15+ years. Prior to failing health, Norma was a faithful member of the Hennepin United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include one son, Rodney Jones & wife Karri; two grandchildren, Dalton Jones, and Mikaela Jones, all of Davis; one sister, Marie Freeman of Amarillo, TX; as well as a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews on the Grover and Jones sides of her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by one son, Barry Ray Jones in March 1981; two sisters, Dean Lee, and Tessie Guthrie; and three brothers, Son, Mike, and Alvis Grover.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Snyder, TJ Webb, Colby Bumgarner, Richard Thomasson, Cavin Jones and Greg Avery.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday evening, June 14, 2022, from 5-7PM, at the funeral home.
