Our dear mother, Patricia Ruth Green Tribbey, passed away October 13, 2023, in the comfort of her home in Sulphur, Oklahoma, at the age of 88.
Pat was born December 5, 1934, in Sulphur to Buel and Helen Green. As the oldest of five children, she was called "Mrs. Cluck" by a neighbor who saw Patsy lead the brood of siblings single file through town or to the park to teach them to swim at Bear Falls. She was a natural leader - a deacon and youth leader in the First Presbyterian church of Idabel. Later in life, she attended college to get a degree and master’s degree in social work at OU. She had a save the world attitude that selflessly served so many wayward or needy souls. Her boundless energy, her empathy and natural ability to listen and provide comfort, and her laughter and unbridled sense of joy will be greatly missed.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents Buel and Helen Green, her brother Joe Green, and her sister Judith Trammell.
She is survived by two sisters, Karen Harding & husband Gary of Checotah, and Marilyn Walls of Terrell TX; also, her three children, Mitch Tribbey and wife Donna of Sulphur, Lynn and husband Don Sievers of Independence, MO, and Noel Tribbey and husband John Pavich of Carlsbad, CA; her grandchildren, Jill Thomason and husband Jeff of Sulphur, Molly Flowers and husband Ben of Sulphur and Micah Tribbey of California; her great grandchildren, Sierra and wife Chance Hutson, Brody Priddy, Kenley Rogers and Saylor Flowers; and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
Thanks to all mother’s army of angels who provided such wonderfully compassionate care, including, but not limited to Dr. Tatom, Arbuckle Home Health, Nurse Rylie Farmer, Nurse Jesse Green and his team from Good Shepherd Hospice, caretakers Vera Mink, Kat Eddy and Barbara Keeler and her longtime friends, neighbors and supporters Sue, Ferry, Pam, Sharron, Laura, Beverly, Ginger and Larry.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Sulphur United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Shepherd and Joe Trammell officiating. Interment will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery, in Sulphur.
