She was the first Community Health Representative of the Chickasaws, as well as elected the first female to chair the National Indians Counsel on Aging. As a very influential member of the tribe, Pat served as an Executive Liaison to Governor Anoatubby for many years. She received numerous awards and recognitions during her faithful service to the Chickasaw Nation, as well as being inducted into the Chickasaw Hall of Fame in 2024. Pat was very proud of her native heritage and shared that fact often.

Away from the tribe in her own private life, Pat enjoyed cooking, going to the lake and spending precious time with her beloved family.
