Funeral services for Peggy Marie (Meeks) Carter will be held 10:00AM, Saturday June 14, 2014 at the United Pentecostal Church in Hennepin with Brothers Carl Sledge & Ronnie Carol officiating. Interment will follow in the Hennepin Cemetery.

Peggy was born March 29, 1924 in Oklahoma City. She died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Moore, at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 12 days. Peggy and Peter C. “Preach” Carter were married on Oct 11, 1941 in Hennepin.

Peggy was a lifelong resident of Hennepin. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had an unwavering love for the Lord and her family. In her spare time, Peggy enjoyed cooking, quilting, sewing, fishing and gardening. One of her most enjoyed pastimes was simply setting and watching life through her
“north window”. Peggy was a very devoted member of the United Pentecostal Church of Hennepin.
Survivors include her husband Preach, of 72 years; daughter, Wilma Poole & husband Lewis of Moore; two sons, David Carter & wife Betty of Graham and Donnie Carter & wife Lela of Moore; as well as, eight grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jaron, Kyndal & Preston Poole, Dustin & Lee Carter and Jim Wingo.

The family will receive friends from 5-7PM, Friday evening at the funeral home.

Services are “Entrusted To” HALE’S Funeral Home of Davis, OK.
