Rafael was born Sept 3, 1943 in La Habra, CA to Rafael D. & Amelia “Molly” Ruelaz Sanchez, Sr. He died Friday, Sept 6, 2013 in Sulphur at the age of 70 years and 3 days. Rafael and Linda L. Murphy were married on Dec 20, 1989 in Carson City, NA.

Rafael worked in Silk Screening with SST of Ardmore. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycles and reading. He had a great love for the outdoors. Rafael loved watching the History Channel, especially when the program was about wars.

Survivors include his wife Linda; three children, Charmaine, Shelley & Tony; two step-daughters, Robin Knick & Sherri Craig; grandchildren, Candice Roland & Larry Wilson, Jr; two great-grandchildren, Syndie & Jaxon; as well as sisters, Susie, Linda, Dee Dee & Alice; and brothers, Victor, Edward, Robert, Benny and Henry.
