Robert Edward Ensley, Sr. was born April 9, 1946, in Wright City, OK, to the late J.D. & Gladys Ensley. He died on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, in Wynnewood, at the age of eighty.
Robert grew up in Wright City, graduating from Wright City High School. Later in life he attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he earned his bachelor's degree.
Robert had a rather diverse working career, which included owning and operating a gas station, working at Halliburton in Davis, as well as driving a truck for the United States Postal Service.
Robert was known for collecting anything thought to have a value. His collection was priceless to him, but to others thought of as junk. He never missed an opportunity to stop at a garage sale, flee market or the Sulphur Dog Trade. His retirement years were truly spent trying to find the next "good deal."
Survivors include one son, Robert Ensley, Jr. & wife Dee; four grandchildren, Kandee Raynes & husband Benny, Dallas Ensley & wife Rachel, Garrett Ensley & wife Mackenzie, and Kaitlyn Ensley; as well as one great-grandson, Kutter.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death one son, Kenneth Wayne Ensley in 2012, and daughter-in-law, Penny Ensley in 2021.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at the Oaklawn Cemetery, in Wynnewood.
