Roberta Sue Bertis

Funeral services Roberta Sue will be held 2:00PM, Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Sulphur, with the Rev. Stephen Wall officiating. Interment will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur.

Roberta was born May 6, 1960 in Bentley, OK to the late Richard & Naomi (Wallace) Bertis, Sr. She died Monday, September 3, 2018 in Sulphur, at the age of 58.

Roberta grew up in the Bentley area. She was a 1978 graduate of Wynnewood High School. Following high school, Roberta moved to Sulphur, where she spent 15+ years working as a certified nurse’s aide at the Artesian Nursing Home. She was very much involved with her family. She was always excited to spent time with family going on family outings. In her spare time, Roberta enjoyed garage selling.

Survivors include five daughters, Stephanie Elrod of Ada, Jennifer Elrod of Sulphur, Melissa Harrison of Atoka, Brittany Bertis and Amanda Bolic, both of Sulphur; fourteen grandchildren and one on the way; three sisters, Anita Cooper of Lane, Sandra Campos & husband Jorge of Bentley and Wanda Bertis of Los Angeles; and three brothers, Dennis Bertis of Tulsa, Randy Bertis of Oklahoma City and DeWayne Hamill of Calera; as well as her special friend of 20 years, Danny Bolic.

In addition to her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by grandparents, Rev. Newt & Agnes Wallace, Denis Bertis and Edna Byington; one grandson, Emilio Bruno Titsworth; and three siblings, Deloris Faye Bertis, Richard Bertis, Jr. and Glen Dale Bertis.
