Ronald E. "Ronnie" Baugh

Ronald Edwin “Ronnie” Baugh was born August 16, 1943, in Alameda, CA, to the late Gladney & Lee (Coll) Baugh. He entered enteral rest with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in Davis, at the age of 82 years and 18 days. Ronnie and the former Ms. Oleta Ingram were united in marriage on October 8, 1967, in Davis. This marriage was soon blessed with a son, Ronald Scott Baugh. After Oleta’s death in September 1993, Ronnie married Audrey “Suge” Sise McCaskill, at midnight on July 30, 1994, at the Turner Fall Chapel. This marriage blessed Ronnie another son, Wade McCaskill.

Ronnie and his parents moved from California to Dougherty, in 1946. Being from California, Ronnie quickly received the nickname “Hollywood” from his family and friends in Dougherty. He attended Dougherty School through the eighth grade, prior to attending Sulphur Public Schools, so he could be the protective brother of his little sister, Janis. After graduating from Sulphur High School, Class of 1961, Ronnie attended Murray State College, prior to completing his bachelor’s degree at East Central University.

Ronnie spent 49 years working at the Kerr McGee Refinery, now CVR Refinery, in Wynnewood. After retiring from CVR on August 15, 2015, he began working at the Falls Creek Baptist Assembly, primarily in the laundry department, however he had a few self-appointed positions, such as picking up trash, keeping the youth employees in line and answering phones. Ronnie absolutely loved his time working at Falls Creek.

At the early age of eleven, Ronnie accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior, and following the commandment of God, was baptized into the Dougherty Baptist Church. Ronnie’s work for the Lord was a lifelong commitment that he pursued daily. After he and Oleta married, he soon became very faithful to the Assembly of God Church in Davis. Later he and Audrey were faithful to the First Baptist Church of Davis. During the last few years of his life, Ronnie was active with the Immanuel Baptist Church of Davis, where he served as a Deacon. Ronnie was never shy about his relationship with Christ and would quickly share with other about his Lord and Savior.

Ronnie was a very loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Next to Christ, his family was truly the most important thing in his life. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, following them wherever they were playing sports. As an avid fan of Davis Wolves football, baseball and softball, Ronnie was always present cheering on his grandkids. Not only did he enjoy watching sports and coaching little league teams, but he also enjoyed playing softball himself. Few knew, but up until just last season, Ronnie played in a senior softball league in Midwest City, playing two games each week.

Ronnie, or “Hollywood” to some, was quite a man. He never forgot his roots or his upbringing. He was fair and honest, and expected others to be the same. And should the need arise, he could and would help others to see that they were not being fair and honest, such as standing toe to toe with an umpire, or even “laying on hands” at an unruly football game (Dibble, IYKYK). Ronnie was a man you always wanted on your side. He was one of kind and will be greatly missed by many.

Survivors include his loving wife, Audrey; two sons, Scott Baugh and Wade McCaskill & wife Kim; daughter-in-law, Kathy Baugh; six grandchildren, Cameron Baugh, DeLainey Callahan, Ryder McCaskill & wife Chandler, Maverick McCaskill & wife Emma, and Karah & Kadee McCaskill; as well as four great-grandchildren, Jayxon, Keyton, Trevor and Case.

In addition to his parents and first wife Oleta, Ronnie was preceded in death by his little sister, Janis Baugh, whom he loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Immanuel Baptist Church, in Davis. Pastor Bryan Hetherington will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Dougherty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4PM, Sunday afternoon, Sept 7th, at the funeral home.
