Funeral services for Shana Lovise Kinslow will be held at 11:00AM, on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Midway Hill Baptist Church, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr officiating. Interment will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur.
Shana was born June 23, 1980, in Pauls Valley, to the late Lovis Charles and Sharon K (Knight) Stanford. She died Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 45. She and Dru Clayton Kinslow were united in marriage on July 18, 2009, in Davis.
Shana, a lifelong resident of Murray County, graduated from Sulphur High School, Class of 1998. Known for always being a hard worker, after high school she spent several years working at Norton's Carwash and doing concrete construction. In 2002, Shana began working as a cook for the Chickasaw HeadStart at Sulphur. During that same time, she also worked as a bus driver for the Sulphur Public School System, driving route 6, as well as transporting band equipment to school events.
Shana's life changed in early 2020 when she was diagnosed with cancer. For just shy of six years, she courageously fought to overcome this terrible disease, remaining positive and steadfast each and every day. In 2021, for the safety of the children, Shana retired from driving the bus. She continued her job with HeadStart until October 2024, when her health simply would not allow her to work any longer.
Shana loved spending time outdoors with her family. Together, she and Dru enjoyed fishing, canoeing, hunting for mushrooms and many other adventurous outings. Shana loved to sing and dance. She was one who never met a stranger and would start a conversation with literally anyone who would stop and talk.
Shana's world revolved around her family, especially her three sons. She devoted her life to seeing them succeed. Her love for family was unwavering. As a child, being the youngest of her siblings, she was often used as a wrestling dummy by her brothers. Although she was eleven years younger, she never backed down and gave each of them a run for their money each sparring match.
Survivors include her husband Dru; three sons, Chadwick Eaves, Hunter Eaves & wife Makenzie, and Augustus Wade & wife Shaelee; two grandchildren, Carson Eaves and Lynden Wade; her two brothers, Ray Lee Ingram and Jerry Ingram & wife Crystal; as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Shana was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Mike Stanford.
