Tajauna Kelly Meador


Tajauna was born August 21, 1944 in Maui, HI to the late Kevin & Theda Mico (Florando) Kalakeuni. She died Monday, August 08, 2016 in Davis, at the age of 71 years, 11 months & 17 days. Tajauna and the late Bobby James Meador, SR were married on November 14, 1984 in Sulphur. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1999. Others preceding her in death include two sons, Bobby Jo Meador, JR and Bobby James Meador, JR; as well as one brother and one sister.

Tajauna moved from Hawaii to Vallejo, CA at the age of three. She spent most of her earlier years in California. In the early 1980’s, Tajauna moved to the Davis area. She spent a great amount of time working with her husband silversmithing. In her spare time she enjoyed collecting cat figurines and jewelry. She was very passionate about her pets and enjoyed listening to Country music.

Survivors include her son Michael James Meador & wife Darlene of Davis; two daughters-in law, Sherri Meador of Davis and Kim Meador of Pauls Valley; as well as 11 grandchildren, Mariah Meador, Kyle Evans, Pamela Freeman, Brandon Meador, Sherena Johnson, Sarah Meador, Daphne Tonne, Annie Spruell, Travis Lively, Elizabeth Thompson and Amanda Meador; and 15 great-grandchildren.
