Tommy Ray Canup

Tommy Ray Canup, better known by his family as "Cowboy", was born February 12, 1960, in Phoenix, AZ, to Billy Ray "Two-Penny" and Patricia Jane (Pagan) Canup. He died Tuesday, April 2, 2024, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 64. Tommy and Patricia Sue Pettrey were united in marriage on April 7, 2001, in Princeton, West Virginia.

After graduating from Yukon High School, Tommy enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, devoting four years of loyal service to our country. After being honorably discharged from the Marines, he embarked on a career in truck driving, until failing health forced him to retire.

Tommy was very much a jokester. He had a way of keeping his family and friends laughing continuously while in his presence. In his spare time, Tommy enjoyed watching western movies.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; his mother, Patricia Canup; and one brother, Michael Canup.

Tommy was preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Roy Glen Canup.

A private viewing for family only was held Monday, April 8, 2024, at Hale's Funeral Home. Interment followed at the Green Hill Cemetery, in Davis.

Services are "Entrusted To" HALE'S Funeral Home of Davis, OK.
