Vickie Gail Monjay, 69, of Sulphur, Oklahoma, went to her Heavenly home on July 1, 2026, after a courageous battle with ALS. She was born on October 8, 1956, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Billy G. Monjay and Priscilla Monjay.
Vickie was a loving daughter, sister, mother, meme, and friend whose life was defined by her faith in God, kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family. She touched the lives of many through her caring heart, gentle spirit, and the compassion she showed to everyone she met. Even through life's greatest challenges, she remained a source of love and inspiration to those around her.
A devoted woman of faith, Vickie was a faithful member of Midway Hill Baptist Church in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Her faith was a source of strength throughout her life and carried her through her courageous journey with ALS.
She survived by her two daughters, Micha Penry of Sulphur, Oklahoma, and Misty Campbell and her husband, Elva Campbell, of Sulphur, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Colton Stearman, Cheyanne Stearman, Kasen Dickson, Jayden McClure, and Madelyn McClure, all of whom brought tremendous joy to her life. Vickie is also survived by her two sisters, Kay Piper and her husband, Greg Piper, of Chandler, Oklahoma, and Carol Allmon and her husband, Joe Allmon, of Sulphur, Oklahoma. She treasured the love and support of her family and was grateful for the special bond they shared throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy G. Monjay and Priscilla Monjay.
Vickie will be remembered for her loving heart, her quiet strength, and the deep love she had for her family. Though she will be greatly missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace, free from pain, and reunited with loved ones in heaven.
A celebration of Vickie's life will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Midway Hill Baptist Church in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her life, celebrate her faith, and share in the hope of Christ's promise of eternal life.
Her legacy of love, faith, courage, and devotion to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
