Wanda Jean Crumb

Funeral services for Wanda Jean Crumb will be held at 10:00 AM, on Thursday, August 27th, 2026, at Hale's Memorial Chapel, in Davis. Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest at the Green Hill Cemetery, in Davis.

Wanda was born March 15, 1939, in Sulphur, to the late Aaron O. & Roxie P. (Newby) Cottle. She passed peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in Davis, at the age of eighty-seven.

Wanda grew up in Sulphur, graduating from Sulphur High School. Everyone that knew her knew Wanda was a very hard worker. She spent many years working as a waitress and cook at area restaurants. The last 18 years of her working career were spent cooking at the Sulphur Nutrition Center, where she formed many friendships. In addition to that job, she and her husband Terry did custom hay baling for the public. She made every step with Terry and did her fair share of the labor.

Wanda was known for her kind heart and her willingness to help others. One of the greatest enjoyments of her life was being a grandmother. She traveled countless miles cheering on her grandchildren at all their sporting events. Wanda truly was their biggest cheerleader. She was an avid fan of the Davis Wolves and OU Sooners.

Prior to failing health, Wanda was an active member of the Midway Hill Baptist Church and found immense joy helping anywhere she could.

Survivors include two stepdaughters, Brandy (Crumb) Harman & husband Michael, and TJ Hamilton & husband Rafe; her beloved grandchildren, Taylor (Taliaferro) Dupree & husband Jacob and Toby Taliaferro; one great-grandson, Lincoln; two sisters, Vivian (Cottle) Kelly and Kay Cottle Mark; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Crumb; as well as nine siblings, Mary L. (Cottle) Jennfeldt, Aaron O. Cottle, Laura M. (Cottle) Luckett, Robert L. Cottle, Edward L. Cottle, Grady P. Cottle, Floyd P. Cottle, James O. Cottle, and Bruce R. Cottle.

Services have been placed in the care of HALE'S Funeral Home of Davis, OK.
