William Loyd Leatherbury

William Loyd "Bill" Leatherbury was born July 22, 1948, in Wichita Falls, TX, to the late Phineas Loyd & Betty Jo (Long) Leatherbury. He died on Monday, November 17, 2025, in Sulphur, OK, at the age of seventy-seven.

Bill grew up in Longview, TX. He was drafted into the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Army, he returned to Longview where he spent several years working in the auto body and mechanic industry.

Bill moved to Davis, OK in 1992. Being disabled from his time in the Army, he was forced into early retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting antiques, playing pool and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include his three children, Candace Leatherbury and Michelle Leatherbury, both of Longview, and William Loyd "Billy" Leatherbury, Jr of Davis; two sisters, Janet Williams and Sherry Calliet; as well as five grandchildren, Kirstie, Kaylee, & Summer Littlejohn, Justyn Miller and Lexi Schepleng; and five great-grandchildren, Zavier Jefferson, Elliot Bell, and Max, Shawn & Cason Miller.

Memorial services, with military honors, will be held at 2:00 PM, on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Hale's Memorial Chapel, in Davis. Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr will officiate the service.
