Wilma Jean Brantley was born July 4, 1950, in Wynnewood, OK, to the late Bennie A. & Dorothy (Harper) Atchley. She entered Heaven's gates on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in Sulphur, at the age of seventy-five. She and Howard Dale "Crawdad" Brantley were united in marriage on March 1, 1967, in Sulphur. Three sons, Kenneth, Karl and Korey, were born to this union.
Wilma was a life-long resident of Davis. After high school, she spent several years working as a waitress at the Jollyville Café, prior to working for B&A Tank Trucks. She later worked as a cook at Camp Nunnychaha at the Falls Creek Baptist Assembly. Wilma's final working years were spent at the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center in Pauls Valley, where she worked as a cook until her retirement in 2010.
For many years, Wilma was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Davis where she served as a Sunday school teacher, as well as directed the youth choir. In the earlier years of her son's lives, she volunteered as the "Den Mother" for the local Cub Scout Troup.
Wilma lived a life focused on her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, and next to Him was her beloved family. She had a gentle, kind spirit with love for all. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family. Being a lover of gospel music, Wilma cherished singing with her family, and of course at church.
Survivors include her husband Howard "Crawdad"; three sons, Kenneth Brantley & wife Deedra of Pauls Valley, Karl Brantley of Davis, and Korey Brantley & wife Misty of Sulphur; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Conry and Sharon Ingram; two brothers, Virgil Atchley and John Atchley & wife Debbie; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Willie & James Atchley; and two sisters, Ozie Bryant and Helen Richards.
